Brendon Docherty

Brendon Docherty

Brendon brings a multi-disciplinary, customer-focused approach to aircraft transactions. With industry experience dating back to the late 1970’s, He is an expert in analyzing customer needs, assessing available aircraft solutions in the market, and negotiating the best possible purchase/sales agreements for our clientele. He has vast experience in avionics, engines, aircraft maintenance, operations, and contracts.

He honed his knowledge of contracts and transactions as Sales Director/equity shareholder for fractional ownership company Flight Options (now Flexjet), where he was directly responsible for more than 400 customer transactions; and as Vice President of Sales with NetJets, Vice President-Aircraft Acquisitions and Sales for TAG Aviation. His technical background included sales and marketing positions in the avionics/maintenance and operations end of the business while at Honeywell Avionics (formerly AlliedSignal Aerospace – Director of Sales/TCAS Program Manager), General Electric/Garrett Aviation and Flight Visions. His extensive industry contacts and knowledge are instrumental in our aircraft technical analysis, which ensures our customers have a complete and accurate understanding of their aircrafts’ maintenance history, logbooks, and inspection status.

Ironically, his first customer at Honeywell in 1984 was Sikorsky Aircraft; and in 2004, he became the contract sales representative for Sikorsky; a role that was disbanded after Sikorsky left the commercial helicopter market. His focus was sales of corporate and VIP aircraft; specifically, the S-76 and S-92 line of helicopters. Going forward, Docherty remains in touch with the Sikorsky Helicopter market and offers his services to clients looking to purchase and implement a helicopter into their operation.
An 8,000-plus hour Commercial/Instrument pilot, Docherty has been flying since 1976. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration from the University of North Dakota’s, John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. Docherty was also a former nationally ranked freestyle snow skier, is an active member of the Chicago Yacht Club, and has been extensively involved in sailboat racing since the 1970’s. Most proudly he is the father of two sons.

Charles Beaton
Charles Beaton

Through his alliance with N1 Aviation, Charlie Beaton brings a keen eye for detail and more than four decades of experience to bear in producing the most detailed, accurate and up-to-date technical profiles of our aircraft. The most unique aspect of our approach lies in our approach to aircraft assessment, the key to ensuring squawk-free deliveries with no surprises.

As an FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant Technician with an extensive history of hands-on management experience, Beaton is exceptionally well positioned to shine a bright light into all corners of an aircraft’s maintenance history. He begins his analysis with an extensive logbook review and an examination of each maintenance and inspection event for each aircraft, including damage history, corrosion, time- and life- limited components, avionics software upgrades and scheduled inspections. Beaton personally oversees all of our pre-purchase inspections and is responsible for producing the detailed technical work scope that is the hallmark of our contracts.

Beaton is a U.S. Navy veteran who has held technical positions with Executive Jet Management, KC Aviation, Executive Air Fleet, Texaco and other operators. Before joining N1 Aviation, Beaton was Vice President of Technical Services for Jet Support Services, Inc., a Chicago-based provider of hourly-cost engine maintenance coverage.
